Naren James, M.D.

Dr. Naren James is a 1989 graduate of Montemorelos University, Mexico, a Seventh-day Adventist medical institution. He completed his postgraduate family medicine residency at the Penn State Saint Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA in 1993. After a 3-year experience in rural family medicine practice in Jellico, TN he completed a fellowship in Obstetrics and women’s healthcare at Family Medicine in Spokane, Spokane, WA in 1997. Dr. James has been in private practice in rural Stanford, KY for over 20 years until relocating to the Chattanooga, TN area in the fall of 2018.

Dr. James finds fulfillment in comprehensive family medicine from new born care to care of the elderly. He has a particular interest in the spiritual, emotional and social factors that contribute to optimal health. Also, as a medical director and administrator of the Optimal Health Center, Dr. James has a particular interest in creating a patient-centered system of care that contributes to the mission of the Optimal Health Clinic which is to achieve optimal health for each patient.

Michelle Bandy, M.D.

Dr. Michelle Bandy is a 2003 graduate of Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine and Science. She completed her postgraduate family medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Family Medicine Residency of Chicago in 2006. She has been a practicing family physician for the past 12 years.

Dr. Bandy’s passion is for educating and motivating patients to improve their health by considering wellness from a unique perspective. This method is optimized by listening to the patient, identifying patient’s motivation for change, incorporating behavioral strategies that encourage healthy lifestyle modifications and an adherence to therapies.

Isaias Coelho, M.D.

Dr. Isaias Coelho received his Medical degree from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California in May 2002. Subsequently he attended the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachussetts from July 2002 to June 2006. He also has a degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidade Catolica, Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and one in Computer Science from Towson University, Towson, Maryland. His expertise is in addressing a wide variety of women’s health concerns such a pregnancy, infertility, incontinence, pelvic pain, painful and irregular periods, and many others. What he likes best about his career is interacting with patients from a diverse ethnic background and addressing their health concerns in a caring and professional manner. Dr Coelho has been married for 36 years. The couple has three children: Kevin, Andrew, and Kelly. The family enjoys nature outings and visiting National Parks.
